Having looked, and from pass knowledge,,
I know of no V22's....
There have been some attempts at rotary tilts but nothing
that has been sucessfull....

And,, Philo,, no actual Pandion haliaetus either..

I am confident that if Philo decides to do it he can. Few have demonstrated the ability and resources he has in such a relatively short time in the hobby.

Oh those were the god old days! I never met anyone else who threw his trans. as much as he did, And it still worked fine. We had a mid air once early in the morning, just the two of us out, After we hit and went in, I looked over at him to see him toss the trans over his shoulder and walk away. CLASSIC. Anyway back to bed, Going out tomorrow if the weather is good.

Man I love fly'n at the basin the day after it rains. The air is fresh, the skys are blue with nice clouds to contrast. Really makes for some great fly'n. Took the F-15 and the Bobcat out , came home with the F-15. My expiration date was up on her as some pre-gift getters brought there self gave gifts to the field. And like all weekend warriors they had no idea of a flag or frequency for that matter.Needless to say they split after I confronted them and went to retrieve my mangled mess.
I guess that's the way it is. Undeterred is my passion for this hobby the Bobcat will rise again, probably in a different color, but she will rise. See ya, Billy

Really sorry to hear that Billy. Wasn't there some talk of being able to retro-fit Jr and Futaba tx with Spektrum modules? The review of the new Spektrum 7 is very promising. That has to be the next quantum leap.....no more frequency boards!!!!

BTW, on the Osprey, the rotary wing crowd is happy to assist any way we can in this endeavor. What about a balsa box airframe as a proof of concept?

I see the same lack of flags or frequency control on weekdays as well. Especially problemtaic are the electric flyers.

Well that just sucks Billy, usually it's right after the holidays that frequency control becomes a bigger concern than usual. Maybe it was a Chanuka gift gone bad.

Everyone has to be vigilant and diplomatically approach anyone with an obviously new plane to welcome them to the field/hobby with their first and most important lesson, frequency control.

I'm sorry bro, but now it is on to better things. Your bobcat RIP!~(*.
You have all my help and support for your next everyday plane. The new generation radios are just around the corner, and IMO can't be soon enough.

I think I'll build a Boomer. Can't get a Bobcat till April. Boomer will be buckets of fun anyway. Should have some umff with that 70 in it.

Umff is an understatement.
It will be fun to get a bunch of them in the air at the same time.
I fitted my Spectrum DX7 in the Boomer last night.
I took it out to the field and got 3 flights on it after a good range check.
No more Flags Baby.[8D]
The servos respond almost instantaneously so it took a flight or two to get used to it.

Well that should solve the "new people who are to stupid to ask a couple of questions" problem.

I really hope so.
I have lost two jets in the past 3 years due to getting shot down.

This Spectrum thing may just be the answer. with the general degradation of man and loss of morals and honor and responsibility. the Basin is a breeding ground for all that is in man that is evil to come out.[X(]

I have been waiting 20 years for something like Spektrum to alleviate the main problem at the Basin.

I'm about out of model memory and lookin @ radios. Perhaps I'll soon forget flags and the people who always seem to leave them up all day.......[sm=regular_smile.gif]

Glad to see you were sucessful with yours Jason. That's quite a statement to see the first one at the field go right into a jet. If they really are that good maybe I will go for one. Thats right in the price range that I was looking at too!

Billy,
I was really sorry to hear about your Bobcat - especially after having seen you having so much fun with it. The DX7 seems like a perfect answer to interference problems, but I was going to wait until a 9 or 10 channel SS was available. You mentioned a 10x in your message. Have you heard anything specific about it or any others beyond the DX7?
Bob J
