I have a real good feeling 'bout #5. I won't look for any symbolic reasoning, I might find something that freaks me out.

Spectrum DX-7 banned from Apollo field after plane crashes on busy street making contact with car? Is it true? Who will be next?

I don't understand why this Bob guy is so bitter and likes to stir the pot. Most of his posts here on RCU are nothing more than rants and raves expressing negativity. What's wrong Bob, are you that unhappy with life that you have say things like " ban jets cause they are dangerous" or " ban DX-7 at Apollo field cause a car was hit". First off get your facts straight before you start mouth'n off. Second, if you enjoy flying as much as I do and most of the guys at Apollo, then watch what you say, sounds like your trying to get the field closed down or something. You are nothing more than a pot stir'r. WAKE UP!

Is that a fact?
Do you have to think about all this or you come up with it as you go along?

Well, if you follow Bob's logic, any crash that results from "losing the airplane" probably means that there is not a single rc system out there that will pass Bob's approval as it is safe to say that every rc radio manufacturer has had crashes during the use of their systems.

I would be quite surprised if that crash was indeed a radio failure as opposed to a failure of one of the components in the planes system. It has been my experience when it all goes to heck, all you know is you are going in, it is kinda hard to figure out why unless a wing has fallen off in flight.

Kinda silly if you ask me.

On that note... ' I've had my suspicions about that rotten channel 44 for years now. I think it is has wrecked more planes than any other channel.

Channel 44 = EVIL. (:>O)

Reading that thread, I feel that the pilot who created the "horror story" has other things he doesn't understand..like not using those DS821s for major control surfaces on larger planes. I think he is just looking for a scape goat on this and it was probably something he forgot to do. And mentioning his friend locking out 3-4 times...well probably an exaggeration or his friend losing orientation. Bob, if you don't have something constructive to say don't say anything at all. And don't just say you won't buy something based on a single potentionally unreliable user. Anyway, Jason, I figure the BBQ didn't happen yesterday, tad breezy.

The Club BBQ went great.I couldn't believe the Turnout.
We only had a few airplanes flying, but the BBQ was great.

It's funny you say that.
I flew for years on that channel.
Lost 10 years worth of model planes on it but I 'd have to say that almost all of them
were due to my evil thumb.
I don't fly on 72 anymore but the thumb is still there.[&o]

Careful what you say Jason. Some people might start rumors that " thumbs" are banned at Apollo field.

thumb causes model plane crash hitting the ground
making dirt fly into the air causing more air pollution ..

I think they should ban all thumbs from Appolo Field !!!!

Before we start talking about banning thumbs, we better get a thumb specialist out to the field. And I'm talking about a real specialist. Someone with an open mind. Not one of those thumb suckers or one of those specialists with their thumb stuck up thier ahh ... never mind.

I'm awake now, maybe you could provide links or quotes for 10 or 12 of my negative posts. I sure don't want Apollo field closed.

I know a guy who had a spektrum. He gave it two thumbs up while flying and lost his plane. Now he's not sure if it was a spektrum problem or a thumbs problem.[sm=bananahead.gif]

Bob, I see that the Sepulveda boys are also wise to your trouble making activities, just like they are at R/C Groups. Your reputation for offensiveness is spreading Bob. Keep it up, and you'll be world famous.
