How do you know if you are addicted and need help?
I was just wondering if I was one of the few who migh need serious help. I seem to wake up thinking about airplane and flying and I go to sleep reading airplane books . When I get off work I hurry home to fly if the weather is nice , I am at the field every weekend sometimes Saturday and Sunday and I stay mostly all day Sunday . I have like thirteen airplanes from small electrics up to 1\4 scale gasoline and I usually bring five airplanes to the field to fly ..... So well am I addicted or just having fun .... P.S. Anybody near me in Arizona need somebody to fly with my peeps can't get on my schedule....

You are DOOMED. There is no help for you now, soon you will be buying engines for planes you don't have, or planes for engines you don't have. Neither will work with one another for some untold or unseen reason. Be careful, you may end up with AIDS (Airplane Induced Divorce Syndrome). Once hooked you can never change back, of course, I wouldn't know why you would want too.
Just save yourself some time and give your checkbook to the hobby shop and tell them how much your paycheck was. That way they know when to cut you off.

This sounds like an opportunity for Jeff Foxworthy.
If you have more model airplanes than teeth.... you just might be an RC addict.
If your kids have to go to the flying field to see you.... you just might possibly be an RC addict.
If your wife thinks airplanes cost $50..... it's just possible you might be an RC addict.

Nothing like the smell of fresh burned nitro in the morning.
RC....... the addiction that doesn't require help.
I've eaten mac and cheese and pork and beans for a month to buy a new airplane, so I can't comment further.

at least we arent alone, and we all share the same thing in common with our buddies at the flying field and tear up the sky... i dont know what id be doing if it werent for this hobby.. we are a special breed

Hehehehe. That's good. If you have two fingers that are permanantly stuck together with CA & you don't notice it- you might be a RC Addict. If your wife wife says; "Hey honey, come here & look what came from UPS" , and she is showing you her "Victoria's Secret" package, & you're dissapointed because you thought it was that airplane kit you ordered you ARE an RC Addict!!

If you are able to think about it and question it then you are not addicted/crazy. This loophole is usually known as "Catch 22" in the aviation community...

No sir . I am happily married for over 10 years She is the best thing ever ,,Oh yeah I must be hooked bad today I traded one 3d airplane for a Velocity and two skybolts that need completed And my vehicle well I have an A class motorhome so when they don't fit in my Pathfinder I guess that is the next ride to the field [8D] Maybe I should start looking for an enclosed trailer,,,and a bigger house Yeah I wish . And I would still be happy with her getting something from Victorias Secret so I'm still good right .. Thanks for the replys...

Yes Welcome ,,,Wow today was beautiful , I flew till 1:30 today .....Man what a nice fix ...all that was missing was ,,well nothing I love Arizona so what if it's gonna get hot .

You guys are funny. My wife (23years) will have the biggest bon fire ever...most likely before the ink dries on the death certificate. To be honest though the VS box of goodies would pull me away from planes for a while but not off a motorcycle. She hates bikes even worse.

Man you guys are cold, rubbing in all this flying you guys are getting, it finally is warming up here a bit. But no I have mud up to my butt. Seriously doubt or field has even cleared yet. But spring is around the corner.
