New Source for many MODELERS!

This is just an idea that passed through my head. (Nothing up there to stop it passing through.) [:o]

Just today I received my bi-monthly issue of Flying Aces. This magazine is dedicated to Free Flight Rubber Power. Don't laugh as this is really true aeromodeling. I am posting this here because there are numerous plans in each issue. These are absolutely art work, and any aeromodeler could easily adjust these plans an wood sizes for RC flying, especially in the Indoor electric Scale stuff that seems to be catching on.

Now as an example of how a rubber kit or plans can be used for other items, look at this picture. The only one I have but that 50" w/s Hurricane (RC) flew like an angel for over 3 years and even in Scale Warbird Racing. It's final flight was all pilot error, not a fault of the machine. I have a Stuka but the silk erroded several years ago and it is in the line-up for repairs maybe 100 years from now.

I have probably well over 150 plans from 6" w/s to 50" w/s. Any could be a neat rubber machine or RC, especially indoor electric, or converted to CL or RC.

This issue has a 27.5" wingspan Cessna 310 that could easily be beefed up a bit for indoor electric or 1/2A fun outdoors. The plan has much detail, and a 4 view scale document.

I don't think that an inovative aeromodeler could find a better deal for $20 per year. BTW I have no financial interest in this magazine. I simply love all aeromodeling.

Sorry, all I get is that a 96 kilobite is "Too Large". Seems there are many other forums having same problem. RCU, sad!

Read the last sentence of my message. Read all around the forum. Many threads are having severe problems with photos. I posted the early part of my post then attempted several times to get a photo. Wouldn't work. Therefore you did not see photos. RCU has a problem. Hate to see it crumble, but that seems to be their desire. [&o]

Rubber Bands, NOT EXACTLY! There are special rubber strands for Rubber Powered models. The entire set-ups are very well made, especially in the top contenders for FAI events. Far beyond my expertise even though I did very well in several years of powered FF gas class 1/2a and class C, along with OHLG. I just never could get the rubber powered thing down to my level, in skill that is, as they mostly stayed well below my "ground" level. :(

Try www.easybuiltmodels.com Mostly scale but there are others. All these plans can be enlarged or whatever one wasnts and wodd adjusted accordingly.

In modeling I am a jack-of-many trades,
Master of none
But Oh so much fun
Cutting balsa with sharp blades.

Looks like I found those evasive pictures!

:D
