RCM&E Publication

Hey All, I just wanted to mention a fine R/C aviation publication out of the UK. Here is a link to their website: http://www.modelflying.co.uk/

I picked up a few issues from the Barnes and Noble newstand and decided to take the plunge and subscribe. It is interesting because they often model aircraft that are uncommon in the US. They don't quite seem to be the industry shills that the US publications have become. In addition, they publish a centerfold plan every month for your building pleasure. They also have regular articles from Aussie Brian Winch who wrote an engine column for R/C Report before its untimely demise.

Yes, the subscription is a little pricey, but it's a great way to pass away an odd hour or two.

I have been a subscriber for quite some time now. It is a much better and much more informative magazine than any in this country. Their plan service is great and Brian is one of my favorites! Well worth the money!

yes, it is a great magazine. A bit pricey stateside at 12.99 but I picked up the July edition, got a nice set of plans for a pretty funky plane called the Wiggo. Going to try to do it up in depron.

Our local bookstore carries RCM&E as well - my wife picks them up for my birthday and Santa delivers it for Christmas. Been enjoying RC Model World, another comparable publication from the U.K. One this summer (2015) had an article about autogyros I couldn't do without. I can't read the language but also enjoy Modelarz (covers all aspects of modeling) that my wife's mom sends to me on occasion; one featured Hanno Prettner on the cover in the recent past... All include pull-out plans each month and that's what makes it so worthwhile.
