I saw this and had to pass it on

I saw this on E-bay and had to pass it on. It is so ridiculous. $601 for a Robart air valve.

The free shipping makes this a sweet deal.

HunkaJunk 05-27-2017 06:23 AM

Yes, you can find items ike that all over Ebay (an item with an outrageous price tag on it). I'm not sure what the deal is, but this is certainly not an isolated incident.

They are hoping to catch someone that is a bigger fool than they are.

I have to wonder if anyone ever actually falls for that and buys something for an outrageous price. I saw a Saito .120 four stroke engine on Ebay for $950.00, I don't know if anyone ever bought it but I would be amazed if they did. I read on another site that some Ebay stores will do that as a place holder (doesn't make sense to me) until they get the actual merchandise and then they post a reasonable price. Who knows. Seems to me that anyone who has been in the hobby long enough to know what Robarts are would know better than that.

I think they meant $60 which is still a rip-off. Electrics is the only way to make your wheels disappear, gear doors shut, and canopy open/close. Does anybody even use air anymore?

There are other offerings at $30 plus dollas... something is off with this particular one

I clicked on the link and now I'm getting all sorts of emails ads about them..................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Big Alice 06-20-2017 02:55 PM

I asked an ebay seller why his item was way way more than the one exactly like it listed just below his and his explanation was "If it's out of stock it's cheaper to leave it listed and raise the price way up than it is to relist the item when he gets more in stock." I've never sold anything on ebay to know how it all works, but that's what I was told.

carlgrover 06-22-2017 03:42 AM

It's a ripoff. There isn't even a washer to go behind the knurled nut.

You'd have to be pretty dumb to fall for a scam like that with one just like it listed below it for 30 bucks.

Prairie Mike 06-30-2017 05:59 PM

I was thinking of buying 20 of 'em, but don't think he had enough........... so I moved on........LOL

Trolling for dopes!!!

One of the worst examples of E-Pay stupidity was someone paying for a kit, twice the price one can pay for it brand new. It was a Sig trainer if I remember. I shook my head in wonder at how someone would be that stupid. They must have the brain the size of a grain of sand.
By the way, said kit was still in production.
