Anyone use these before. I want them and I don't know why.

Billy:

If you could rig up some kind of remote flapper to shut them off
and on during flight, they would be great on like the GP Stuka.
When they scream all the time, it tends to get annoying. A fellow
flyer had a pair on a 4 Star 60 and it sounded pretty good and very loud during the dives. As the plane was flown slow and level
they were fairly quite but still heard over the engine.

I like 'em

I wouldn't put them on most planes, but I picked up a pair in Toledo and stuck them on a big fun fly. At first I wasn't sure if I liked them but now I kinda look forward to hearing them on that plane. I just tell most people that the whistle must be coming from the landing gear :D .

Not wanting to spend 16.99 on a whistle I went down to the toy store and bought a couple for $3. One is a plain old tin whistle and the other one is kinda funny (can't really describe it). I zip tied them on to a piece of plastic and have the on the lower front of the Knife. I'll let you know if they whistle!
I'm kind of excited to check it out. I'm not going to tell the boys at the field. If it actually whistles it will be fun to fly and speculate on it.

If you wait a while, Japan will get their hands on them and soon afterward there will be a 36-bit computer version that will play 68 different tunes with full orchestration.

Here's a good source for these whistles...

Go to your favorite toy store, and buy yourself one of those Vortac footballs with the fins on back. Some have whistles embedded in the ball itself, and can be dug out and placed on your plane. I think the balls are 5 or 6 bucks, but they have 3 or 4 whistles on 'em. I have a couple on my H9 US120. Drives people crazy.

Most of the planes mentioned above are annoying to look at. Why make them annoying to listen to also? It's a scale thing for me. No offense.

Then this probably really drives you bonkers.... :D

Yes, it has a pair of the i4c whistles on it, and in this particular case they give a very unique sound.

I have a Ultra Sport 60 with a OS 91 Surpass that whistles quite loud at full throttle. Also had a SIG King Cobra with a ST 91 that whistled. I just sold the King Cobra about 3 weeks back. Don't know why you would want this when most flyers try to get rid of it.

Looks like Countryboy needs a couple of jetcat P-80's. Now, the whistling sound that they provide is nice! Nice looking Bonanza in the BG.
