Why Now
 

A friend after 30 year ask why people have or want some thing to do with him know. They had nothing to do with him in the past but with the new image what a change. You had nothing to do with me then why now! Is this a sign of the future or the past. This seems to be every where in the hobby, What can and should we do to change our image[&o]

I have been in this hobby many years and there are people that think they are so much better than you are their plane are bigger better and they think they are the best. Then a person makes it in life and they want to get involve with them because finally they are being shown up for what they are:eek: to bad there are so many people like this in our hobby.
Well if we divided the field in parts and different group used different parts and no one would cross the line we could get along. Seems that most problems are caused buy people not club members that do not intend on having to fly at the field or get along with certain members and just leave.
IS THERE ANY WAY FOR A CLUB TO HANDLE THIS there are people that come in and think they can just take over a field and just do what they want to whom ever they want :eek::D

Have you noticed how many friend you get when people find out you have a little extra cash big planes and a travel trailer:D:D and 30 years ago they would not give them the time of DAY:eek:;)

Sounds like you may have an internal club problem that should be addressed in a fashion that keeps those problems from being broadcast around the world. I would suggest you keep them at a local level and resolve them there.

This may happen in RC but look around, it's everywhere and that is life. I love rc and aviation in general because of the people I have met doing it. Theres arsholes in all walks of life.jmho.

I don't have any big planes or a trailer. :D This is not something that is unique to RC. I doubt we will find a solution to the problem.

As for those of you trying to figure out what Hawk is talking about....
I'd guess that a friend of his recently came into some money and now that he has bought a trailer and some nice big planes the folks who previously shunned him are now acting like his best buddies.

I propose a new forum or maybe a game to replace the crummy poker game. We have Hawk and Avistar2 hold a conversation and then the rest of us have to try and figure out what they are talking about. Can you imagine the confusion and fun that would create? Marc, are you listening?

Hawk, it's not just in this hobby......people that act like that will ALWAYS act like that, no matter what hobby or pasttime they are participating in.
Many people want to be something they're not, and chumming up with people that they perceive to be at a "higher status" is an easy way to make them feel good about themselves. :eek: I see it all the time.....and hell yes, it's annoying and idiotic.
Fortunately, this hasn't been a problem at my field.....so at least I can "get away" from it when I'm flying.

OK...A little birdie told me that the "friend" is actually Hawk himself and maybe the the trailer and big planes are just an analogy for something else. For those of you who missed the first few episodes a little background to help you decipher just what the heck the Hawk is trying to lead us to......

After an eventful funfly where the Hawk crashed a couple of planes and one of them hit a tent with people under it, he posted on RCU. Someone from the club printed out his posts and read them at the club which resulted in him leaving and being suspended. Now things have changed and appearently the worm has turned and Ole Hawk here is trying to get us to guess what has happened in Colorado and why.
