Can you get CA thin again?

Hi everyone

Here's the problem, I got some CA the thin runny stuff not long ago and it has gone very thick but still sticky. I was wondering if there is any way to get it thin and runny again?

Thanks

Stefan

Nope, it's gone bad and I would just toss it and get some fresh.

Keep it in the freezer and it will not go bad when it sits.

It sounds like you now have a half full bottle of "thick" CA! :)

I have found that leaving the cap off doesn't seem to hurt. I always had trouble with the top getting stuck. (Try not to spill it on your good clothes)

Found these cool glue tips on ebay for controlling CA better. Just screw them on. Searched glue tips. There are 100 for about 10 bucks. They are awsome. They don't plug up as fast.

Microwave it for about twenty seconds. It will be nice and runny.

kidding!

Opened bottles of CA will generally keep for about 90 days at room temperature before starting to go bad. Once it starts to thicken its had it; time for a new bottle.

Refrigeration can extend the glue's shelf life, but there are a few issues to contend with. You need to allow the glue to warm up normally to room temperature before using it. Cold glue takes longer to cure, offers weaker bonds and condeses water inside the bottle from the warm air is sucked in to replace the cold glue that has been dispensed. This extra water further contaminates the glue.

Flyboy - those are disposable micropipet tips. Should be several online sources less expensive than ebay if you want to reorder.
