Yardbird Mig29?

Has anyone have experience flying the Yardbird Mig 29?.

I’m using an Axi (1400rpm) motor turning a 7.5 acp prop. Not a pusher prop, on the Yardbird mig 29. When I give it full throttle in wants to go straight down – steep dive. Have you experienced this. Also it wants to keep going left. Should I add more weight to the right wing tip. All the guys at the club love the plane but we need some help with this.

No experience with that particular plane, but a few things to check. For the diving, it ould be the motor incidence. Is the prop pointing downwards and not level? Is the elevator flexing? Is the elevator pushrod flexing?

As for the left turning, check lateral balance first, then check to see if you have right thrust built in.

EDIT: And welcome to RCU!

I appreciate you’re advice check the balance and angle of the motor went from a 7.5 prop to a 7.4 and this really helped. Also reduced the troughs on the servos. The 7.4 prop helped.
Thanks,
Bob

I changed the prop from a 7.5 to a 7.4 on the advise of one my rc club members, and also reduced the throws on the servos. Fly’s great now. I think my problem is I had too much thrust which caused torque when giving it full throttle.
thanks ,
Bob
