IS THERE A REPUTABLE PERSON I CAN HAVE FIX MY DISCONTINUED COWL??
Hello, I have a great planes pitts (the older red and white one) that I have an issue with,, last time I flew it, I got some grass stuck in the wheel pants on takeoff as I came up I noticed I was too slow, stalled the plane, and damaged the cowl pretty good...It is not available anywhere.
I am not good with fiberglass tried a couple of times,, just not my niche.
I know this is the most reputable site for RC,, I wanted to get some advice, Is there a reputable known person who is good (and not too crazy on the price)at fixing this kind of stuff,, Its not missing big pieces or such, just the gel coat. Any help would be appreciated I live in Waco texas if that helps.. but I can ship it to a good person.
I love this plane and want it to look right again..

Raron,
Being a stranger, too, I don't know what my opinion is worth . . . but, I will tell you that if Speedy is willing and able to help you with this, that you are in VERY reliable hands. I've seen his fiberglass and paint work up close, and it is quality stuff. He is definitely one of the "quality" people that we are lucky to be blessed with in this hobby, very generous with his time and talents - just look through many of the threads and you'll see how much he wants to help everyone, as much as possible. I can't speak to his pricing (beings he won't make me one of those Macchi racers ), but whatever help or advice he is able to offer you, you can trust that he won't steer you wrong.

OK I was worried about the paint to match aspect. If it's just the repair I can handle the job. Have repaired lots of glass stuff to the point that it has led me to a job as a composites tech repairing full scale components. Should be fairly reasonable provided it's all there.
