Default 1 ounce glass, Where to get?

Been trying to find 1 oz cloth, but all I can find is 1.5 oz, and other than ACP, sort of on the expensive side. ACP is out of their 3/4 oz stuff too.

Nick Ziroli Plans sells 10 yd rolls of 1 oz cloth for $30. Never tried his cloth so can't comment on it.

I've bought glass cloth from Thayercraft but I get a 404 message. Don't know if they are closed or just having server problems.

Ken, I got 19 yards of 8.5 oz. cloth from Steve Thayer 3 month ago. I've been doing business with Thayercraft for almost 30 years. I've even been to his warehouse in High Point, NC. If I don't forget, I'll give him a call tomorrow. I sure hope he hasn't closed his doors? The 404 message has been up for about 3 weeks.

Read the title and looked to see what shot glass links he was getting. I better give the bottle a rest.

I recognize that name, never comes up in a search though. I got 1/2 oz from ACP a year or two ago, can't beat their prices. Probably why they are out of stock! Well, considering I have to get the canopy set from Ziroli, might as well get the cloth from there too. Thanks for the tips.

Guys,

Steve Thayer is still in business. His web site has been down for months. You can reach him here: (336) 889-8088 or here: thayercraft@cs.com

Well went to ACP and found what I thought to be a great price. 15 yards for $33. Thing is they don't add shipping when you check out, only when they ship it, so you don't know how much shipping is. Well for $33 of cloth it cost $20 to ship. That brings the cost up to $3.60 a yard, but it is still the lowest price found. I tried contacting Thayercraft, but got no response. Pretty sure they are done for. They were the ones I bought .58 ounce cloth from a few years back.

Good News. Thayercraft is very much still in business. Steve has had a problem with his web site, and hasn't taken the time to resolve it. The reason is that the web site only accounts for a small percentage of his business. Steve told me to tell folks that Thayercraft can be found on E-Bay. Be patient when ordering, and consider that the typical modelers orders are small compared to his commercial customers, and yet they consume the same time in cutting, packing, shipping, and billing. I just ordered cloth from him today. Greg
