RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
here we are...the new address is now active!
[link=http://www.raptor-rc.com]www.raptor-rc.com[/link]
I am not progressing a lot on the project since I am working on my cnc (installing the ballscrew system).
I am also modifying my rudder because I noticed afterward some small discrepencies in terms of dimensions...
now It should be ok.

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
My website has been reshaped little bit...
I have to work again on the 3d before continuing the construction as there is few problems...for more explanation, refer to the stab construction page!
hopefully by next week, stab construction will restart.
stay tuned....

Hi,
could the raptor be made up from balsa and ply, instead of composite materials and if so, do you intend to sell plans of the model, when completed?
duthie.

Yes the raptor could be make of wood, but I do not intend to sell spme plans.
it is too early to say if I will sale some planes but if it is working nicely, then yes I think this is a possibility but in any cas, no plans only complete plane. Moreover, plans would not help that much as there is more than plans to make the plane from nothing

I will update my website tonight also...
stay tuned....

To refresh my memory. You are building basically a plug for making a mold right now. And many of the parts made will be used inside the finished molded product (ribs, formers, etc).
I'm new at this so may be a dumb question.

Congratolations for the beautifull design!!!
Could you tell me How did you design the F22 airfoil on Catia!!!(airfoils points??coordinates x,y)
I've been using Catia to design my models, and I enter point by point!!!and it is so boring!!!
Did you use excel file???
Thanks!!

Thanks for quickly answer!!!
But, sorry, i didin't understand: Have you been using Part design module?
I attached the airfoil coordinates that I need to design, could you tell me the steps that you will follow to design???for example!!
Thank you very much!!!

If you want quite accurate but not 100% you can use your pic as a template and then sketch it with this pics as a background.
the module is called sketch tracer.
if you want very very accurate then I don t know.
personnally,
I used a picture of the profile I needed and scaled it on the background and sketch over it...
