for sure!
I was meaning that I will do my level best to reach the date but of course, I will not scratch everything just because I tried to go too fast!

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
little delay in the project...
New stab design finished
Rudder modification under progress (95% finished) -> need to do airframe to finish it at the root.
I decided to have scale wing looking so new wing is being done.. will be finished by tomorrow....
Resin to build molds will be ordered next week, should come within 1 month.
see website for more pics...

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
I am back!
I am still looking for a job but also I am on holidays from 14th onwards!
as a consequence, I will be able to give a little progress on the project...
I have some progress on rudders and wings....
the body 3d design for the mold making is almost ready for cutting...
If everything goes ok I should have stab, rudders, wings ready for scale detailing and body stated by 31st dec 05...
after that, I will have to stop and really get a job...

Wait a minute. 11/13 you're very busy at work. Now on 12/9 you are looking for a job? Did we miss something? Hope this doesn't mean you are unemployed. []

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
I had a 2 years contract which is expiring end dec...no position available for me before 6 month in my company in dubai...so either go back in france or stay for an other company...
if I don t get something, then I will be unemployed for few weeks...
11/13, I accepted to give little help on some other projects but finally give up has it was not helping me to stay...[]
anyway, I am just 25 and ready to move![8D]

Do you get to take the CAD program and/or data with you? Or do you lose the use of it?
If I may ask, do you work in Engineering or Drafting/CAD or other field?

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
hi guys....
after a while, I am now working again on the raptor (in the same time as finishing my big sailplane).
I have now learn how to do some 3d shape in catia and also do directly the 3d machining from it also (even if I still need lot of work to be good).
As I have decided to restart this project to improve it, I am now redesigning the body...after lots of efforts, bottom looks good and I will add more details soon.

are you restarting this project because you can't import to Catia or you have a better idea to make it? You're so close to finishing the last one.

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
actually,
I have found a better way to make it and also there was some mistakes in the design. now it will be closer to the real one and also the construction should be more accurate.
It has nothing to do with catia work done before.
the only thing is that now I know how to model fully 3d in catia, not only formers, and also I know how to prepare machining from there (at least the basis).
I am thinking of spending quite some time on the 3d in order to get the best possible result at the end.

RE: f22 raptor-rc work on progress!
here is a little progress... I had lots of difficulties in making the top shape but now it looks ok...
In order to do that, I modelised a simple model of the real engine[8D]

at last, I've managed to make a full 3d volume of the raptor...
the 3d modeling process was not easy but now I am more confindent about the shape of the model...
