Default Fuselage Fiberglassing

I have a Ryan Pt 20, with a fiberglass fuselage in need of repair..I have never done any fiberglassing and need some direction...The are needing repair is the motor mounting area, there are small cracks in the surrounding area. With the motor running there is much visible movement in the front area..Being powered by a YS 52 (4 stroke).

What do i use to clean the area needing repair? Do I have to use resin or can I use apoxy and fiberglass strips?
