Default Seal Balsa before applying epoxy ?

Is there any associated wood shrinkage or warp with this procedure? I guess I could try a test piece to get some results.

The reason I ask is I have already constructed the 1/16 balsa laminate for the foam cores on my current project. There are some tricky spots where the grain runs perpendicular in some places, is shaped as triangles, etc. I'm wondering if it is too late to cook?

Thanks,

Sounds like another Dam whitch is better more weigth and stength. Or less weigth and less strength. DAM if you do dam
if you don't. But the old shellac is good but a bit brittle Dam. CU

Aquanet hairspray. Light dusting is all you need.

Wet out peel ply, lay on balsa, vacuum bag. When cured, it will leave a very light, bondable skin.

Simple, effective.

Did you miss a stage, like, peel off the peel ply?
