Default cf canister muffler

Hi guys. I am making a cf cannister muffler for a 50-60cc engine. I have a couple of stupid questions, though.

I already have the vacuum bagging equipment and am going to commence mold making shortly. When you lay up the cloth, some of it has to come up over the edge of the mold. Do you cut this off immediately or wait for it to cure then just sand it off? Also, is it better to cut the cloth and then epoxy it, or epoxy it and then cut it?

Thanks

1. I wait for it to cure, and then cut it off.
2. I cut the cloth prior to laying it up, about 2" bigger than the mold.

I wait for it to set dry to the touch, but still a little plyable, before it fully cures. It is easiest to cut at this stage. Use a SHARP blade, and be careful not to nick the mold.
