thinned epoxy VS titebond II
2 Attachment(s)
I am building an Evolution W DLG and the instructions say to thin down epoxy with alcohol to attach the 1/64th plywood top skins.
Attachment 2266291 My question is why not use Titebond II? Wouldn't that be just as strong as thinned epoxy? thanks for your advise. John |
Two things come to mind. One is that the thinned epoxy will be lighter. Two, using a water based product may cause the 1/64" ply to warp. If it were me building that wing, I would use a laminating or finishing epoxy resin without thinning. I would apply the epoxy resin with a glue syringe.

Water based must be the reason. Thanks for the insight.
