thinned epoxy VS titebond II

I am building an Evolution W DLG and the instructions say to thin down epoxy with alcohol to attach the 1/64th plywood top skins.

My question is why not use Titebond II? Wouldn't that be just as strong as thinned epoxy? thanks for your advise.

Two things come to mind. One is that the thinned epoxy will be lighter. Two, using a water based product may cause the 1/64" ply to warp. If it were me building that wing, I would use a laminating or finishing epoxy resin without thinning. I would apply the epoxy resin with a glue syringe.

Water based must be the reason. Thanks for the insight.
