Repairing fibreglass shrouds

1 Attachment(s)
I have a couple of fibreglass shrouds from the undercarriage of my WM extra that a chipped, cracked and generally untidy looking. Is there any way I can repair them and re-paint so they look good as new or close to it??

Here's a few pics of the damage:

Clean of all grease etc with the appropriate solvent cleaner, both sides.

Sand the INSIDE to rough up the surface.

Around the inside damaged edges lay on a layer of no heavier than 2oz glass cloth, use epoxy resin.

When cured use a Dremel tool and small sanding drum, rough up the cracks on the outside. Do not sand through the new glass.

Fill all of the cracks/blemishes with resin and microballons.

Sand the repairs to blend with the existing structure.

Prime the whole piece and paint.

Yes.

Make the mix as thick as you can but still wet enough to stick to the shroud. The greater content of microballoons the easier it is to sand.
