http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2162010I’ve been lurking on this site for a while, now I want to share my build of the 1/2a pathfinder, I build kind of slow so bear with me as I post. Any foresight from anyone who has built this bird is welcome.
For the most part I’ll go by the steps outlined in the instr’s. however I needed to massage the eng. Bearers to accept a NV .074 as you can see each one had to be cut @ 1/8[SUP]th[/SUP] inch and its still a tight fit. I may have to further ‘adjust’ when I get to that point.
By the way this will be my first full on stunt plane.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2163165http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2163166 pic. 1 shows basic wing const. done, but not close to finished, I'm not thrilled with landing gear mount as it's only 1/16 ply!! my plan is to reinforce with hardwood epoxy'd to the spar well beyond mounting points. as far as the inboard wingtip,,,,,,, the inst's. is not to clear so after bellcrank is mounted then will mount adj. L.O. guide. word of caution for anyone builbing this plane in the future sand/shape leading edge first as ribs are verrrrry soft.

Been a verrry busy week, but got some work done, 1st pic. is overall reinforcement blocks. 2nd is landing gear blocks, epoxy'd to spar and basic platform,,had to re drill holes due to misalighnment, tedious for the ribs but no major damage. 3rd pic. is bellcrank reinfcmt.again epoxy' to platform and spar. cut and mount. weight box, pretty heavy may not need to add any ballast!!! wil see when finished and calm enough to fly small planes.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2164154http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2164155http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2164156

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, my other hobby(life) got in the way, and kept me away of airplanes. I have sneeked a bit here and there, managed to get wing covered, the pic. shows orangeish, it is indeed bright red. now just taking time to dope fus. and tail surfaces, again rde. will have gray trim to match the church youth group colors and scheme.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2168037
