Electric conversion.

I have a Star Wars Y fighter control line kit for .049 power I would like to build it as electric.
What would be a good motor battery combo for that?
How do you safely plug in the battery without the motor starting?
Any other advice would be helpful.

Thank you.

I prefer a rc unit for control. A timer is cheaper, but if a problem occurs in flight....well its a problem. With the rc unit I can control when the motor runs. This unit is fine for a 1/2a. If the lines get longer than 42' there can be transmitting problems. You will have to run a rubber band over the transmitter to keep the trigger in full reverse location. Otherwise the trigger goes to "neutral" which is actually half throttle.
