RE: Is the Pt-19 a good starter plane?
A friend and i thinking of ordering it too from Towerhobbies. The shipment costs as much as the plane. :P (Shipping two of them with some accesories costs about 34 bucks :P) We already fly RC Planes (only for a year though) and we hope to be able to have a taste of CL flying with these thingies. It's quite 'cheap' so it's worth the try, especially since i've read some positive reactions in this thread :)
It looks pretty crash proof too, concidering this picture :D :D http://www.little-bellanca.com/product/10890/img03.jpg Leaves me with one question, how to break-in these little engines? |
RE: Is the Pt-19 a good starter plane?
There should be instructions with the engine. They will run best on a fairly oily fuel with 15 or more % nitro. Break in is basically one moderately rich run, then go fly. You do need a good hot battery.
