Brodak .049 perfomance

I have been flying the Brodak .049 on a 165sq in model weighing 7 ounces. Flying on 42' x .008 solid lines. 15% Nitro fuel, and working with a variety of props from 5x3 to 6x4.

So far, my experience shows that this is an extremely docile and steady engine compared to the C*x or Norvels, but way lower on power. It should be a good match to the Brodak Baby Clown or Baby Flite Streak, but probably not enough oomph to drive the RSM Pinto or Hunter Stunter without heroic weight reduction measures.

Anybody else have experiences with this engine to share?

Hey, Larry,
Here's the original SSW thread about the B049:

Pretty much agrees with your assessment-a good, easy starting sport engine, not a finicky racer. Sounds like the perfect piece for park sport flying and training. No need to pull one's hair out...
