Can you be a little more specific? Metal or plastic, uniflow or regular? Size? I think I have seen that Brodak products are available in the UK, and they have a huge assortment of CL tanks. Or you might be able to use an RC clunk tank. Or make something custom.

RE: CONTROL LINE TANKS

HI,
I.m not sure what I want, I did control line 50 years ago but have lost contact with all of it.
My plane is just a wing with a small elevator on it and two engine bearers on the front end.
I would imagine I have got to build in a tank somewhere I.m not even sure about that, I have been trying to look up info on the net but haven't as yet found any diagrams to guide me, I though if I see some tanks it might become obvious what I have to do.

RE: CONTROL LINE TANKS

PS Aeroproducts stock Brodak tanks and some of their own:

http://www.psaeroproducts.org

I suspect the engine is slap back against the leading edge so the tank will need to be in the wing - or you can get away with it on the pod on the opposite side to the engine.

PAW do tanks too - as well as 2.5cc diesels:

http://www.eifflaender.com/modeller.htm

And Hallam Models too:

Hallam Models - Control line models, trainers and combat kits. Mail order only. SAE for details.
69, Bole Hill Lane,
Sheffield,
England.
S10 1 SA
Tel: 01142 665624

Best to ring as they don't always have tanks available.

Tony

Something like this Brodak BH-524 tank could be built into the wing of a sport model or you could do the cardboard or plastic tube trick and use a pressure bladder if you want to do combat.

RE: CONTROL LINE TANKS

If you decide that you need to build a tank, I wrote a series of articles for Flying Models magazine about 15 years ago on modifying and building controline fuel tanks. I have the articles in PDF format. If you need them, drop me an email and I'll send them off to you.

Bob

Since this post is from 2005, I'm guessing he's no longer looking. :)
