First CL flight..OS 32 venturi

I just flew a Flite Streak with an OS 32, first time I've flown Cl in a bundle of years. Went great till I got a bit too confident and landed inverted under power, removing most the needle from carb and causing a bit of wear on the tail.... was a blast! Anybody know where I can get a venturi for an OS 32 to replace the slightly worn RC carb?

I have saw couple on ebay before, might give it a shot. I just ordered the Top Flight Streak ARF, I am going to power it with a FOX .35. Should be pretty quick.

There are a lot of guys in your area that fly combat and the OS 32 is a popular speed limit combat engine. They might have one, or could make one.

Otherwise would the one from and OS 40FP or LA fit? if so Tower hobbies...

Also www.stukastunt.com he will have one.

If you want to put a Fox 35 on an ARF Flight Streak, you should double up the nose section, I mounted a Fox 36 sport on mine, and it really vibrated badly when i tested it. That's how I ended up with the OS 32, and it still vibrates a bit much. I am going to remove the engine and put a 1/8 ply doubler on at least one side to stiffen the nose. Have fun, the FS flies great!

Tom,

Of course the simplest would be to get a new needle for the carb. If you are serious enough to want a venturi, I would suggest contacting Leonard Neumann at Stuka Stuntworks as Dave mentioned. He reworks engines a lot and makes venturis for them. The intake size depends on which needle valve you use. He can make suggestiions.

I would shy away from combat venturis - another purpose.

Good luck

The simple venturis for a Speed limit combat airplanes I have work fine on hard tanks, and Aren't that different than what is on a Standard OS 25.

OS makes control line venturies for their FP 35 and 40. I ordered a couple through my dealer. Works great. This particular one does not fit the 32 but OS may make one for the 32. Check with your hobby dealer or OS.

well, I went ahead and got replacement parts for the old r/c carb, less than twenty dollars including shipping. I pulled the engine and am in the process of beefing up the fusalage/motor mount section to reduce vibration. Not much wood up there on the ARF Flite Streak, I'm sure Ill get a more consistent run with less vibration. Fuel foaming was a bit of a problem on the first day. Thanks all for your input!

Well, I flew again Sunday, and even with an 11X4 this thing is still FAST. Or maybe I'm slow..?
I'm leaning towards putting my OS .20 sportster on this to slow it down and get a longer run from the stock tank. Maybe with a 10X4 I won't get screwed into the ground

Thanks Rude! I may give that a try. Been to busy to fly lately, but sounds good.

Did you balance your prop? Can make a hell of a difference.
