RE: Old GlowBee Battery wanted
I found a new battery for it. Would like to find a complete red housing. I had to drill a hole in mine and bring the level control out of the side.

miltwood and all,
The cells used in the old GloBee are available from commercial electrical supply houses. I forget the spec number, but for the one of us who still has one, it should be legible on the cell casing. There should be substitution lists for other mfr equivalents. Last one I picked up was from such a source and IIR was not the same mfr or mfr nr as the OEM - worked just as well. Cost ~ $10, within last 10 years. I think combat fliers have used the bare cell with longish leads to limit voltage to the plug, at least in the past. Good NiCds give a similar punch, even at less than 1.5V, are a lot lighter and chargers are more readily available, today. Luck and HNY! \BEST\LOU |
