Can someone identify this plane. Fox 35 powered and about 52' span built at the end of the 60s I believe.
A deceased friend flew it onboard the carrier Oriskany when it was still in service.

Correct!

And if light enough, straight, and structurally solid, an excellent stunter.

A Fox 35 will pull an Oriental that weighs up to the mid-30 ounce range very happily. Just remember the Fox 35 needs a fuel with ample (25%-29%) castor oil...

Thanks for the identification. I did unstick the motor and run a venturi full of fuel through. Typical of the old Fox it bumped when the prop was pulled through and then fired off and ran out the prime. They would always start on the second or third flip. This one did the same after 35 years sitting.

The fellow buying this is into vintage stunt so I know that it will be run as a Fox 35 stunt should be run. He intends to strip the silkspan and put a silk and dope finish back. Maybe it will be like the B-52s and keep flying well into this century.
