Thanks Jeff, I owe you one... [:@]
I'm at work right now so I don't access to my pictures, nor do I have the time to go into it, so I'm going to have to let the suspense build a little more. Perhaps I'll have the time this evening. -Joe |

RE: Please ask Joe!!!!!
Wow! Never knew they made a white lawn dart!!!! Sorry for the loss, although it is an easy fix. Happy flying.
|
RE: Please ask Joe!!!!!
Joe's Lawn Dart. Maybe we could invent a game or something. Put a bullseye on the ground and see who can plant their plane in it. Might be a bit expensive.

Don't worry Joe it happens, so long as you learned something..? Built a dewybird for my friend’s son and taught him to fly. He did a wonderful job, only one pancake landing and no damage, unlike his father who tried a wingover but failed to pull up [:@]

RE: Please ask Joe!!!!!
Not sure what I "learned" - maybe how to do the perfect "Figure 9"? Seriously though, I started out on 31' lines, but did notice that it was coming in on me in the half-lap that it was airborne, so I increased the right thrust and dropped down to 27' lines... pretty much the same result, half-lap, zoom up, 'round and down... Ray seems to have a mind of his own, or I'm just not thinking fast enough to stay ahead of what he's doing. Poor Ray's had his nose reattached about 7 times now, as well as many cracks in the fuse... thank goodness for thin CA and five minute epoxy!
Now the Man-Win trainer in the other pics... Oh my gosh, that thing is possessed! I wish I had a camera trained on me for that - I was doing consecutive loops, wingovers, reversals, inverted flight - all without trying! Got about 3 uncontrolled laps out of it before I finally plowed that one into the ground. It was so bad, I dragged my .40 size Kaos and Herr Lil Extra out after that one "to calm my nerves"!!! I've hung the C/L planes up for a while, I gotta take a step back, think about this, and maybe get some help... |
