U-Control Model identification

Any one know what this U-Control Model might be?
It was built around 35 years ago, thanks for any help.

For now I say Thunderbird.
The canopy looks quite a bit like a Nobler but far too forward.

Man, that could be almost a derivative of anything. The wings are a revised copy of Nobler, but so were 10,000 others in that time period of CL Stunt. HA! It could be someone's "original" design such as were numerous slightly different "Noblers", "Detroiters", and Veco "Chiefs". These 3 basic designs supplied a heap of information for oh so many "originals."
The nose closely resembles the inverted engine Thunderbird but the wing is extended far beyond where the rounded portion leaves the flap area on the T-Bird. Not a T-Bird basic wing. The tail feathers are more closely arranged to the Detroiter style. The nose and tail moments appear closer to the T-Bird.

Good Luck.

Thank you all for your information, I was hopping that I could find a set of Plans for
the Model because I need to know where the Bell crank is located, my friends dad build
it and he wants to fly it but is afraid the bell crank might pull out through the wing.

If it was mine I would hang it up, I can't see taking a chance destroying it, but my friend
wants to bring back his childhood and remember when he flew it when he was a Kid.

Thanks again for your information

Yeah, you might see all the different details on this page:
http://www.sshobbies.com/bucoliki.html

And I bet each detail is on a different airplane.

Actually it looks closer to Palmers Pow Wow. Fortunately Brodak kits the Accentor which is really a copy of the Pow Wow.

Thanks for the Web Page, The Thunderbird is close with the Oriental Plus or Tom Warden's Continental Tail.
I'm thinking this Plane is Home Built.

Rick

I think I'm going to order the Perky Kit I sure like the looks of this Racer from Sam's Stuff & Hobbies

The bellcrank will be located under the canopy. If you are concerned about the bellcrank coming lose do a pull test first, get a digital fish scale and atach it to the lines, one person holds the plane the other pulls the scale to 30 pounds, if it passes your good to go.
God luck

The Veco T-bird kit I've been working (slowly) on for the past 20 years (over/under leadout version with the differential flaps), has the landing gear in the fuselage exiting a tad forward of the wing, not in the wing.

It's a Roadrunner from a designer in New Mexico. I first saw one at the 1967 Nats.

The design is by Bill Melton and Stuka Stunt has the plans on this link;

http://www.clstunt.com/plans.html

Scroll down to Classic Plans and the plans are in alphabetical order, it's towards the bottom.

Pretty neat looking model, fairly popular as several are flown actively in Classic Stunt events.
