Flite Streak 15 plan needed
 

Hi Guys, Does anyone have the Flite Streak plan for .15 engines?

Brodak currently manufactures this kit (Flite Streak Jr) and offers plans for $10. Frankly, I'd just buy the whole kit.

The FS Jr is the airplane which taught me to fly inverted.

A Flite streak Jr was my first "big" (non-049) plane. Mine had a very old Fox 15 R/C with the throttle wired full open and 52 foot lines. It pulled like a mule - and made me want a bigger one. I've taught several people how to fly with a "Baby" Flite Streak. Top Flite kits were awful to build ( the shaped leading edges were always mis-cut and the die cutters must have been as dull as a hammer) but the design of the Flite Streak overcomes all. I had a friend that used to hold his little boy in his arms while the child flew a full size Streak - and flew it well!

How do you intend to fly it. The FS Jr. is sized to fly pretty fast with an older .15's or a modern .10. You may need to add weight to the tail for balance.

If you have a modern .15 and want to fly slower, you might be more satisfied with a profile Peacemaker. Also designed by George Aldrich but sized between the Flite Streak and Flite Streak Jr.

A strong modern .15 can also handle a full size FS if built light.

As mentioned above, Brodak makes kits as well as plans for both the FS and FS Jr., and there is an ARF available for the FS.

I loved the F/S Jr. Built one in the early sixties and flew it with a Fox .19 and a Testors-McCoy .19.

Here's a picture of my yellow F/S Jr and the Jr. Satan powered by a K&B .19.

Both of these models were a blast to fly and figure 8's and inverted flight were simple. I never crashed either of these models.
