blending fuels/nitro?
 

Need some answers, if i take one quart of fuel A, which is 25% nitro and all castor , and add in 10 oz of fuel B which is 15% nitro and a 20% castor synthetic blend.

? Is, after mixing these two fuel with numbers given, what will be the nitro content of the blend?

How many oz in a US Quart? - Imperial quarts are 20oz.

A US quart is 32 oz.  So the math goes like this, 32 oz (w/ 8 oz nitro) + 10 oz (w/ 1.5 oz nitro) = 42 oz (w/ 9.5 oz nitro), or 22.6% nitro.  (That's 9.5 divided by 42 times 100).

The castor/synthetic numbers are irrelivant to the discussion of nitro content.

It also allows you to specify the synthetic/castor blend. The calculator is designed to yield one quart of fuel.

I fly 1/2A and don't mix more than a quart at a time - I just got tired of doing the calculations by hand.
