engine comparision question

For a Fox 15 size plane would this Asp engine be a suitable replacement power wise?

Sounds like more engine than you need. If we are talking the older Fox 15's, Fox 15X ,etc. a TD 09 is a good replacement. If I wanted a modern glow 15, I think I would buy one of the present day Fox 15's.

Jim, was thinking something for example like the Akromaster.

A TD 09 would fly an Acromaster very well. What about an OS LA 10 or 15? Friend has an LA 10 on a JR Flitestreak and it flies fine.

The OS 15 and the Akro is a match made in Model Airplane Heaven.
The ASP 15 is the AP Yellow Jacket. It is 1/2oz lighter than the OS which would be good as from my experience the Akro is a tad nose heavy. I would say it will work fine.

The model flies great. Skaliwag's pics. show my model built from one of the kits he markets. Power is OS.15FP ( Fox.15 was too noisy unmuffled ), 8x5 MA and 50' lines. The model is VERY aerobatic and looks very good in the air. The kit went together fast and the parts are laser cut.
I just bought 2 more kits from Steve at Select Hobbies, his profile Spitfire for me and the P-51 Mustang for my flying buddy to build.
I'll do a build thread on the Spitfire when I start assembly...............John.

For the money, the Magnum .15 XLS is a true powerhouse. They now come with different venturi inserts to adjust speed.
