Default FW190, straight in, 80+ mph, video

Another one went in this past weekend. It was a .15-.25 size FW 190. He had tried it with several engine, but none seemed to be powerful enough. So, he put a .40 size engine on it (not sure which). This time it flew with authority (and very fast)! About 2 minutes into the flight, it appeared to have radio failure as it slow-spiraled into the ground at 80+ mph (we have a radar gun at our field) . We retrieved it all except one wing which was caught by a tree limb on the way down. What a mess!

Video shows takeoff and then shows the remains. It is a .wmv file about 4MB.

Looks like a P-51 got you. Not radio failure.

No, I don't have the crash on video. The plane is fairly small and fast for my cheap camera. It lost focus about 30-45 seconds before the crash. I never could catch up with it again. []
