Default down to davie jones locker

I crashed my Seagull Decathlon today with floats. I got off one pretty good flight but the second wasn't succesfull. I knew the engine didn't sound as strong as it should have but I decided to go ahead and attempt it any way. After all it just flew fine right. Well it came to the point where it was take off or hit the opposite bank and I thought I had the speed. I didn't and it snapped during the takeoff roll. Broke the left wing and flipped up side down. It was a long wait for it to blow back to the side I was on.
Oh well I will order another wing in a week or two and rebuild. How long does it take for balsa to dry out anyway?

NFO,
Are you really a NFO, or is this an oxymoron? ...Just Kidding. The water must have been calm, or you would have lifted off sooner. Smooth water causes suction under the floats.
Good luck with the next launch.
