Never
Much more fun to take it home and see if I can piece together a flying plane again.
If your not crashing, your not trying hard enough

Now this is my kind of forum. I've done it! Until this day I have no regrets. Just like Flyboy Dave the plane deserved it. Push mowers, chainsaws, weedeaters, yard blowers, they are all out to get me.

What works for me is removing all of the useful items, then torching the plane in my fireplace. Just watching it go up in flames gives me satisfaction, and eliminates the trash.

LOL - are the Paranoids also out to get you???
A number of years back, I had a brand new TF Headmaster 40 trainer ARF all ready to go and two small kittens climbed up to the shelf where I had it stored, knocked it down to the floor, broke some of the frame and removed all of the covering. I was so upset I "lost it" and finished off the airframe with my boot. Had I kept my cool, I could have salvaged it with no problem - never did that again even though some planes really do deserve it! Oh btw, the kittens are now adults and living the "Cats" life.

RE: The truth will set you free
It's funny running across this post today, since I almost stomped a plane that I haven't even finished putting together yet. [>:] The plane is the Tower Kaos 40 ARF. This ARF has given me nothing but trouble from the beginning. I guess the old saying is true "You get what you pay for". Anyway, last night after I put my trusty YS53 4 stroke on it, I wanted to get an idea of how much tail weight it would take to balance it. With everything in it except a prop I proceeded in starting to add stick on weights under the horizontal stab. By the time I was finished, I had put 4 OUNCES on the plane!![:'(]. Needless to say I wasn't happy, especially since I had the same motor and setup on a 40 size Tower Kaos kit I had before I "re-kitted" last year. So, if it doesn't fly the way I know a Kaos should, It may not be over yet.[>:]

Thanks for the info. I have a Tower Kaos ARF at home too. Must remember to cut opening for tail weight.
Stomped a viking glider fuselage a few years back. It was started by someone else, and the built up tail boom was as twisted as it could be. There was noway of making that sucker straight. Needed a jig to build this one properly. Felt good though.

I't funny how a "Toy" the wife calls it, can push your buttons. We all have our moments of anger with a plane or radio for some. The next time your plane acts up and nobody is looking kick it I bet you will feel better. Unlike Christaneagle my lawn is small so I use electric yard tools.Sounds like fun to me though.

I saw it happen back in Sept at our yearly fly in. The guy was flying a Da-100 powered plane of some kind I think he said it was a Chip Hyde design. Anyway he told me earlier in the day it would snap at low speed with to much ELEV. Well later that day it snapped in. I did not get to see how bad it was hurt before he danced on it. Afterwords it was junk. It had two servos in each wing half. He stomped all around the servos until he could pull them out. I couldn't watch but I'm sure the fuse got the same treatment.

well, idk if this counts, but when i was learning to fly i kicked the tail off my trainer at the field so i glued it back on with zap tock off and the tail fell off and it plowed in the ground... i really thought it would hold!
oh and i droped a transmiter. but only cause my body was life less.. no strength to hold a transmiter. that was when i put my p-51 kit (1st kit) in on its maiden. damn wind!
i got a ucando3d 46 im bout to stomp on! i rebuilt it then my girl friends cats knocked it off the wall and it cracked the ribing leading to the tail and the motor mount broke and my carb broke off a st 61.
RIP!
