Fiberclassics Mustang - right into the tarmac - movie
Check this:
crash
The reason for that spectacular crash were reversed acting aileron servos. It was the maiden flight of that wonderful fiberclassics Mustang. My swiss friend (the owner) was a little bit nervous and so he forgot half of the preflight checks. Hence he did not see the wrong working ailerons.
The result is the loss of a wonderful Mustang and a lot of money. The original Mustang TEMPTATION also crashed in switzerland a few years ago with the famous aerobatic pilot Christian Schweitzer and his son at the controls. No one survived.

I couldn't quite bring to words exactly how I was feeling when I watched it too but V6goose sums it up...
I too am very sorry for the loss of his warbird.

Dayam, that sucks. It looked and sounded like a sweet plane.
Betcha your friend makes full pre-flight checks a religion now.
Sorry 'bout the crash. Judging by the guy's tabletop radio, I'm sure he'll be back soon.

I remember that I used to think....'Man, what idiots, not checking their deflections.....', but then the other day I was very nervous about test flying an expensive plane, and completely forgot about it. It was only after I landed (in one peice luckily) that I realised my stilly mistake....Could happen to anyone, sorry it was such a nice bird....

I've got some emails from several people concerning that crash video. This is my first day in the office so I had no chance to answer the emails.
All I know is that the video is withdrawn form the server because of space and traffic problems. Maybe you contact Donimic Jahraus directly by email under [email protected] But the video is pretty large.
