Hobbico Extra 300S
I just acquired a Hobbico Extra 300S. It is in pretty good shape except it is missing the firewall, cowling and associated pieces.
If anybody out there has this airplane could I impose upon you to measure the distance from the "firewall" on the fuze to the box where the engine mount bolts to. With that measurement I can rebuild the front of the plane....... I think:eek: One last measurement, From the back of the spinner to the front of the fuze part of the firewall. Thank you in advance!! RE: Hobbico Extra 300S
If I was planning on building it back up, I would get and temporarily (tape) mount the cowl, then measure back from the spinner location for the firewall placement.
A picture or 2 would help illustrate what you have to work with Good luck |

ORIGINAL: scale only 4 me If I was planning on building it back up, I would get and temporarily (tape) mount the cowl, then measure back from the spinner location for the firewall placement. A picture or 2 would help illustrate what you have to work with Good luck Everything forward of the firewall is gone including the cowl. I have an e-mail to Hobbico to see if a cowl is still available. They show it in the parts list, but stock is yet to be determined. I have the "destruction" book :D and it shows a photo of the firewall construction, so I have that to go by. There is little to no damage behind the firewall except some hanger rash and rough handling. A cowl would go a long way to resurrection of this model. |

ORIGINAL: scale only 4 me Look here for the cowl http://www.fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/catalog.htm good luck I think they have what I need. I will e-mail or call to confirm. With a cowl in place, everything else should fall together nicely. Thanks for the tip :D |
