Tail Broken Off
 

The tail has been broken completely off my Hanger 9 Pizzaz just in front of the horizontal stab. The break is 'relatively' clean. Some splintering of the balsa side sheeting on the rear of the fuselage. The rest of the plane looks OK I love flying this and would like to try a repair.

I've never made major repairs before but I have built from a kit and feel comfortable doing this. I plan to get some personal help from some folks at my club but have a simple question first.

Is it possible to reattach a tail section to a plane and have it fly right again? Or is it simply not done because it can't be done right?

I'm sure it's repairable. Post some pictures and I'm sure you will get all the input you will need to fix it. The trick is not to add too much weight and to [u]rebalance the airplane[/u]. Remember tail heavy = crash!
