This the result of a sharp left-turn due to torque on an overshoot

The most realistic crash I have ever seen by a model was about 20 yrs ago. It was a beautiful 60 size spitfire. It failed to completely pull out from a dive and pancaked the ground at full throttle. When it hit pieces flew into the air everywhere as dust clouded up and the airplane skidded along the ground for about 150 ft leaving pieces behind everywhere. When it came to rest only the front half of the fuse remained. Cockpit was still intact so pilot was shaken up severly but survived. I have wished many, many times I would have had a video camera for that one.

Not too sure, as the owner, I would like to see, again, my mess-up. As you may notice, my pilot was very out of sorts.
But it has been repaired and flown again.

It was posted, a little while ago, on RCMF.
We seem to have lost the thread. (pun).

Blame Wiz ;) I wonder if he archives old threads?

Anyway, looked like a good plane before bit bit the dust!

You might not believe it, but it is in flying order again. Not quite pristine, but at 500' who can tell!

Nice plane...

Was the torque roll due to opening the throttle too quick on the go around decision?

Just curious...

Yes, due to torque. Only the third flight, at a scale day, and went too far down the field. Opened up quickly, not being used to largish 4S, and it did a sharp turn to port. Sharp learning curve!
