Default DraganFly in the Snow

Hi All,

I've been away for a while so I thought I would post and update. I just repaired my DF which has been out of service since I flew into the top of a 50 ft pine tree and tubled all the way down a month and half ago. Shes ready to go now though. We're under a Level 2 snow emergency here in Ohio so I thought I would take it out and fly above all the snow. I snapped the below picture which I thought was pretty cool. I'd like to try taking some video again one of these days but at my new location here in the city. It is just sooo darn cold here its hard to stay outside very long to fly. Hope everyone else is doing great!

This is great! Did you have any water issues?

Nope, no water issues. I only landed a few times and it worked just fine because all the snow here is coated by like a half inch of ice. I landed on a small hill once though and it slid all the way down to the bottom and then I was able to just take off again from there. Pretty fun actually. I'm actually enjoying flying in the cold as it seems like I get better performance and the motors never even get warm.

I agree, the DF does well in colder weather, longer flight times and the motors barely heat up. It has been way to cold here to fly but its warming up this week, it will be nice to get outside with the DF again.

Good Pictures..
You guys get longer flights in the cold??
Mine always seem shorter, I know Lipo's don't like cold... I keep mine in my pocket to keep them warm.
Happy Flyin,

Ditto for Canberra.

I'm flying before 9.00 or 10.00 in the morning, and after sunset. It could be still as anything outside, but 30+ degrees doesn't give you long in the air except for a quick test.
