Default Show Us Your Bling!

Hello Everyone,
Some of the pictures posted on this forum have shown some real innovation in terms of how people bling up their DFs to maintain orientation at a distance. It is surprising how well even some of the simplest solutions work. Please share your ideas, if nothing else but to make people smile!

To prime the pump, here's some surveyor's tape being applied to a "higher purpose". It's very visible regardless of the background (that's what it was designed for), and when the sun strikes it directly it lights up like Rudolph's nose on Christmas Eve. It's incredibly thin, and doesn't seem to increase the heat build-up, nor affect the weight & balance. The tape on the motor provides most of the visibility - I'm not sure the bit on the thin CF arm is contributing nearly as much.

Cheers,
Bruce

The surveyor's tape is super thin, and the heat just seems to go right through it. The front motor isn't any hotter than the other three after a flight. I did cut the tape back so that it does not protrude below the bottom of the motor. This is because the HD motors are very finicky about the little braided wires that go to the brushes, and the slightest pressure on them can cause problems.
