Phjoker: He he he. Have been waiting for someone else to do this. I have one in a home brew streemlined nose quickee type airframe that I just love. Using 9.8 X 7 to 8.75 prop, and wow its quick. Not much different than the Viper. Other Q-500 jocks will not come up and play with me any more. The great part about all of this is you can start your engine and taxi out like any other sport plane, take off and land with total control and best of all, go around with no problems if you happen to blow the approach. There should be a class started for this, it is simply a total pleasent experience. On high rates, you can do loops, rolls and most pattern manuvers below half throttle. Fun part is doing a hover with the thing, can hold hover for about 20-30 seconds but gota hold it in tight, not much rudder authority. My fuse is constructed to follow the Q-500 moments, but the nose area modified to hold a 10 oz tank, so you get decent fight time. Enjoy |

I have been seriously considering putting the spare 60LX on a viper.
I think that it would be a blast. Let us know when you get'r done |
RE: 60 lx on viper
Any prop you want pretty much as long as it tachs over 18K rpm
9x7, 9x8, 8.8x8.5, 8.8x8.75 ..... something along that order. |
