I was ready on aeromicro that the Kokam 340 can handle a discharge rate of 20C which would be 6.8 amps. Does this seem logical. This seems not right A e-tech 700mah has a discharge rate of 6C which is 4.2amps. Thats a big difference.

Its true, they handle 20c but look at the price, most of my planes would need 2s2p 340s $100. Or I could use TP 1320 2s $45, I wish kokam would make 20c cells in the 1200 ma range

at 20C they deliver 90% of capacity, and i hear they can be pushed near or past 30C in short bursts.BUT your back to nicad flight times using them at 20C or higher, which defeats the second greatest thing about lipoly cells.

Cheapbatterypacks.com sells a 500 mah cell that weighs the same as the Kokam 340 cells, and is capable of 10C, and 15 C burst. Cheaper than the 340 cells too, for 1.5 times the capacity and same weight.
