Lipo taking 1/3 capacity during charge
I have a Thunder Power 1320 mAh 3-cell pack. It takes about 400 mAh or so during charge. I used the Triton to discharge it down to 9.0V, and it took even less than 400.
Before I take it back to the LHS and ask if they can exchange it, is this something that could have been my fault?
The specific parameters:
1. Purchased roughly three months ago and fully charged.
2. Used intermittently for bench-testing of two electric planes, charged afterward each time.
3. First used in a plane for a full flight last week. Each flight has been very short.
4. ESC: E-Flite 20A brushless
5. Motors: AXI 2208/20 (bench-testing only), Himax HC2808-1160 (bench testing and flight).
6. Charger: Triton
The calculations from flights and subsequent chargings of another identical pack on the Himax show average amp draw of 8 and less.
This pack has been treated the same as the other, so I feel comfortable taking it back as a possible defective item.
