Default "X" NiMH = "Y" LiPo ???

I need a bit of help figuring out what NiMh batteries configs are equiv to LiPo configs.

I found a nice chart discussing prop and power options for my motor, (see link below) but it's all rated in NiMH cells. I want to you LiPos. So I need to find an equiv chart.

Any body have good info?

Thanks,

Lyndon

Here is a motor calculator. Put your motor, battery, prop size, etc. and it gives you a flight time and the amp draw. If you put your current config in and then use the lipo battery to figure what is equivelent( or close).

One LiPo is appr 3 - 3,3 NiXX.
One NiMH holds appr 1,1Volt at load. Maybe 1,15.
LiPo holds appr 3,4 volt at load. Maybe 3,6 in the beginning.

It might be easier to figure out what Lipo you need for what your trying to fly.

A 3s lipo will give you about the same voltage as 10 NiMh when they are fully charged.

There are a lot of factors to consider when matching up your Lipo to what your flying. The things you need to consider are the weight of the plane, motor size, prop size and if the motor is geared or not. Then you need to consider if the motor, ESC and battery can handle the amp draw being put on them.

I don't think I'm giving the help you need but 1 cell lipo is about the equivalence of 4 NiMh cells.
