Making a E flight Field support -what Battery?

Hey , I am making a E flight field box out of a heavy duty Rubber/plastic tool box . Can anyone tell me a good source of battery to charge planes? Do I need to purchase a car battery and if so do you have any suggestions on a good value to cost scenero?

It does not have to be a car battery. In fact, a deep cycle marine or RV battery is a better choice for heavy-duty charging, but it may be overkill for what you want to do, and is really too heavy to put in a "plastic tool box." The size of the battery depends on what you're charging, and how many times you want to charge it.

Thanks Matt , most of my E flight planes range from 280 size moters to small brushless stuff , I have not flown e flight planes bigger then 45 " spans , sound like should look for a boat or car battery

I use a car battery in a ice chest for transport.
