which battery pack???
 

which battery pack would i need to use with an eflite 400 motor, 6.6:1 gearbox and a 12x6 prop???

i'm thinking i would need a high discharge (15C) 2000mah, 3 cell lipo.

is this right???

what would happen if i use my 1500 mah, 8C, 3 cell lipo??

depends on the plane I suppose....and I am not sure the exact ratings of that motor

the 8c might work.... run the numbers through Motocalc or pick up a Whatts up (or similar) I didn't want to either, but I'm glad I did....

I use Thunderpower 1320 3S1P packs with good luck and a polyquest 1500 pack (the polyquest is quite a bit bigger but weighs about the same..)

I use this in 3dfaomy style planes.....

the plane would be a hanger 9 mini funtana.

the 400 motor is a 4200kv.

i currently use the 370 motor, which is 4100kv.

what is motcalc??
