IS 8.2V MAX NORMAL FOR LITHIUM USING SCHULZE?

1 Attachment(s)
I finally got my 2 cells Li-Ions to charge fully but the voltage was 8.2V. Schulze will not go beyond it.

Is it normal?

My X-Peak 3 charger from Rc-Dymond charged the batteries to 8.4V.

Thanks

I used Li-Po setting and the charger did get up to 8.4 Volts.

Is it OK to charge Li-Ion as a Li-Po?

Thanks

RE: IS 8.2V MAX NORMAL FOR LITHIUM USING SCHULZE?

As far as I have read all the recommendations from the LiPo-producers they especially warn against charging LiPo on LiIon-programs. This due to higher internal resistance in the LiIon-batteries. The other way I don`t know, but remember: the recommendations and warnings are there for your safety and to avoid accidents...
Run your batteries, allow two break-in flights letting them rest 15 minutes between some 5 minutes duty-time, charge them as recommended when empty and check how much mA they will charge in...at LiIon-program. If this seems OK then batteries and charger works OK. If not do not try to manipulate things.
