Can you overload an ESC with batts in parallel?

Dear All:
I want to put a couple of Thunderpower 2100mAh in parallel to increase my flying time. Is there any chance of overloading the ESC/motor with extra packs in parallel?
Thanks,
Knotty

No you won`t overload it by giving your setup more capacity, if you are not already on the edge. If you are running the setup on the edge it could become more hot due to longer flight-time. Remember coolig anyway...
Just remember to check that your batteries are equal in voltage (within 0,3%) before you connect them together in parallell.

Best way to get the packs synchronized is to simply charge them up individuallly, then connect them together. After that, its no problem to charge them together.

There are a set of circumstances where adding a pack in parallel will overload the ESC, but it's highly unlikely unless you just cobbed your power system together from random parts. The circumstances are if you're drawing on the single pack so hard that its voltage is dropping signfigantly, AND the Amps are right at the ESC's limit. When you add a pack in parallel, it shares the load. The lighter load on each pack allows the packs to maintain a higher voltage. The higher voltage causes a higher current. The higher current is more than the ESC can handle....

Look at it like adding another gas tank to your car. It won't overload the engine (unless its a YUGO and can't handle the extra weight.;)
