Pieces needed to complete a conversion
I have a 60 size Dragon Lady that I'm converted to electric. I have the E-Flite 60 motor and would like to know what battery I need and speed controller. I just want to fly around and have fun, no hovering or maneuvers that require a lot of power and skill. The hobby shops around here give a quick answer without asking me what I want to do. They try to tell me what I should do with the plane and talk about getting enough power to hover. One shop said I can't convert my Dragon Lady to electric because he can't find anywhere on the Internet where someone has done it before.

Thanks for the reply. I've got some research to do on batteries I guess. I don't quite understand them yet.

You could try a 9S1P 2100mAh 16-20C and a 12x4, 12x6 prop. Check the amps, should max out at about 30 on the ground. Expect performance like a good .46, about 850 Watts. Or, 9S1P 3200mAh 20C and push to 45 Amps max, 1200 Watts with a 13x6 or 14x4 Prop. What I like to do is, first time out take a good selection of props, start with a 12x4 and test, go more pitch or bigger until I get to 90% of the rated amps of the ESC or battery which ever is less.
